|1/2 tsp. Baking Soda||1 Tbs. Water|
|1 tsp. Sugar||2 Tbs. Vegetable Oil|
|1 Tbs. Cornstarch||1 1/2lb. Flank Steak, sliced in thin strips|
|1 Tbs. low-sodium Soy Sauce|
Whisk together all ingredients in a large bowl. Toss in the steak to marinade. Cover and refrigerate at least one hour, then proceed below.
|1/2 c. low-sodium Soy Sauce (Don’t use normal, way too salty)||1 Tbs. Sherry|
|2 Tbs. Brown Sugar||3 Tbs. Vegetable Oil|
|4 Cloves Garlic, minced||2 heads Broccoli, crowns only|
|2 Tbs. Flour|
In a small bowl, stir together the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, flour and sherry until smooth. Set aside.
In a large saute pan, heat 2 Tbs. of the vegetable oil over high heat until shimmering. Add broccoli and saute for 3 minutes, stirring often. Transfer onto a plate.
Carefully add remaining Tbs. of oil into the hot pan. Add the marinated meat and half of the sauce mixture and saute for 3-4 minutes, stirring often, until meat is cooked through and no longer pink. Stir in the broccoli and the remaining sauce. Saute for another minute. Serve.
