Corn on the Cob

Corn on the Cob

Boil it: Put a large pot of water on the stove to boil. Meanwhile shuck and clean corn. Add Corn and 1 TBSP sugar. Boil for 10 minutes or until tender.

Bake it in the Husk: Stick the corn, hust and all, in the oven at 400 for about 30 minutes. To serve remove husks and silk, dress is up as you wish and eat! (Doesn’t get much easier than that!)

Bake it in Foil: Shuck and clean the corn. Cover cob in corn and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and/or other desired spices. Wrap in foil and bake at 400 for 30 minutes, or until tender.

Steam it: Fill the bottom of a steamer with water to boil. Meanwhile, shuck and clean the corn. Place corn in the steamer basket above the boiling water and cover with a lid. Steam for 10-15 minutes or until tender.

Microwave it: Fill a large bowl with water. Submerge the corn in the water and allow to soak for 30 minutes. Remove corn from water and place on a plate. Microwave for 7-8 minutes (for 1 or 2 ears of corn). Allow corn to sit for 10-15 minutes (it will be very hot!). Shuck, clean, and eat.

Grill it: Fill a large bowl with water. Submerge the corn in the water and allow to soak for 15 minutes or longer. Meanwhile, heat the grill to med-high. Remove the corn from the water and place on a hot grill, cover. Turn corn every 5 minutes to prevent burning. The husts will turn black and may even catch fire, thats ok! When all sides are cooked evenly remove from grill. Peel husks back (like a banana) and enjoy!
