Part one:
1 c. Flour | 3 T. Cocoa Powder |
2 tsp. Baking Powder | 1 T. Vanilla |
6 T. Butter | 1/4 tsp. Salt |
1/3 c. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips | 1/3 c. Milk |
2/3 c. Sugar | 1 Egg yolk |
Part two:
1/3 c. Sugar | 1/3 c. Brown Sugar |
1/3 c. Cocoa Powder | 1 1/2 c. Hot water |
Coat inside of crock pot with cooking spray. (Note: cooking time will depend on te size of the crock pot- longer for smaller pots.)
Part one: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. In a large bowl, melt butter and chocolate chips in the microwave. Mix until smooth. Whisk in sugar, 3 T. cocoa, vanilla, salt, milk, and egg yolk. Add flour mixture and stir until thoroughly mixed. Pour this batter into a crock pot and spread evenly.
Part two: In a medium bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients, and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over the batter in the crock pot. Turn on high and cook 1 1/4-2 hours. Cake will be done when it begins to pull away from the sides of the crock pot. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
