The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
Oh, what a delight. Unfortunately they don’t make toys like Edward Tulane anymore. The plastic and nylon of today’s play things would have never survived Edwards first fall into the ocean, let alone time spent in the garbage pile or in a cornfield on a stick. Back when toys were made to last they were treasured by their owners. Doll repairs were performed often so handing things to someone else in need was very probable. Too bad things have so drastically changed.
The journey of Edward Tulane was indeed miraculous and fun and heart wrenching and tender. At times I laughed but more often I cried as a beautiful china rabbit learns the value of being loved. From Edward to Susanna, to Malone, to Clyde, to Jangles this story is filled with lessons of love and friendship.
A beautiful story for the young and the old; anticipate The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane to become a timeless classic.
