For the cookies:
1 C Shortening | 1 tsp Vanilla |
2 C Sugar | 3 tsp Baking Powder |
3 Eggs | 1 tsp Salt |
1 C Sour Cream | 6 C Flour |
1 tsp Baking Soda |
Combine sour cream and baking soda, let sit for 10 minutes. Cream the shortening and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream blend, vanilla, baking powder, salt and flour (One cup at a time) Split the dough into four equal parts and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
For the frosting
1/3 C Butter | 2 Tbsp Milk |
4 C Powdered Sugar | 1/2 tsp Vanilla |
1 Egg Yolk |
Combine all ingredients and frost onto cool cookies. You may need to add a little more milk but be sure to add very small amounts at a time!
