For the cookies:
|1 C Shortening||1 tsp Vanilla|
|2 C Sugar||3 tsp Baking Powder|
|3 Eggs||1 tsp Salt|
|1 C Sour Cream||6 C Flour|
|1 tsp Baking Soda|
Combine sour cream and baking soda, let sit for 10 minutes. Cream the shortening and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream blend, vanilla, baking powder, salt and flour (One cup at a time) Split the dough into four equal parts and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
For the frosting
|1/3 C Butter||2 Tbsp Milk|
|4 C Powdered Sugar||1/2 tsp Vanilla|
|1 Egg Yolk|
Combine all ingredients and frost onto cool cookies. You may need to add a little more milk but be sure to add very small amounts at a time!
