1 Tbsp. Yeast | 2 C Flour |
1/4 C Warm Water | 1/4 tsp. salt |
1 tsp. Sugar | 3/4 C Butter |
1 egg |
Mix yeast, water and sugar. Let stand 10 minutes. Combine flour and salt then “cut” butter into the dry mixture. Mix well. Add yeast mixture to dry mixture. Divide into 2 balls and roll each ball into an 8×10 size.
Filling
2 8oz pkg. of cream cheese | 1 tsp Lemon Juice |
1 C Sugar |
Mix together all filling ingredients. Spread 1/2 of the filling on each 8×10 pastry. Fold long sides in and overlap a little. Then fold samll ends up 1 1/2 inches. Put each Danish on a cookie sheet and bake immediately at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Once out of the oven, sprinky with sugar.
