|1 Quart Pie Filling (or 2 cans)||1/2 tsp Salt|
|1/2 tsp ground Nutmeg||1/3 Cup Butter (cold)|
|1 1/2 Cups Flour||3 Tbsp Milk|
|2 Tbsp Sugar||1 egg, beaten|
|1 tsp Baking Powder||3 Tbsp Sugar|
Preheat oven to 400F.
Stir together pie filling and nutmeg. Pour into an ungreased baking dish.
Mix together flour, 2 tbsp sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut butter into flour mixture using a pastry blender (mixture should resemble large crumbles). Add milk and egg. Mix until moistened.
Layer flour mixture over pie filling and sprinkle with remaining 3 tbsp of sugar.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
