2 lb chicken tenders (or boneless, skinless chicken breasts) | 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes |
2 tsp kosher salt | 1 jar (12oz) roasted red peppers, drained and chopped |
1/2 tsp black pepper | 1 pkg (10oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed |
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning | 2 cups Colby-jack cheese, shredded |
1 tsp garlic salt | 6-8 hamburger buns |
Add chicken to large slow cooker. Add seasonings, cover and cook on low for about 5 hours. Using two forks, shred chicken. Add chopped red peppers and thawed, chopped spinach. Allow to heat thoroughly, about 1-2 hours. When ready to serve, assemble bun with shredded cheese (desired amount) and scoop of shredded chicken mixture. ENJOY.
