1 lrg. can Stewed Tomatoes | 1/4 tsp. Pepper |
1/2c. Finely Diced Onions | 2 Tbs. Butter |
1 tsp. Sugar | 2 Tbs. Flour |
1 tsp. Salt | 1 1/2c. Milk |
Combine tomatoes, onions, sugar, salt, and pepper in a large saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes over low heat. In a small saucepan, melt butter or margarine; add flour and stir in milk, stirring constantly, until thickened. Slowly add hot tomatoes, stirring constantly. Heat through.
